Sooome daaaay my prints will come...

My A1 prints have arrived! These were a test run to see if they would actually work on a large scale, and I think they do!
I'm also planning on getting 'Owls revenge' and 'Messengers' printed within the next week. Then I hope to get these beasts framed and exhibited in a gallery in Cheltenham.

All very exciting.
A bit stressful.
But exciting.

Below are some Karz doodlios.
Some sketches from the Natural History museum.
AND A paid commission for Hallen.

Natural History Museum London

Because i'm a nerd and I love all things slightly monstrous. Although I love dinosaurs my favourite critters were actually the giant sloth and massive armadillo dude. Those guys are weird looking.

When I was little I wanted to be an archaeologist. This was probably fuelled by the dino magazine I used to get where you could built yourself a glow in the dark T Rex skeleton but you had to collect about 20 magazines to complete it. After the first few magazines the prices went up to £5.99 and my mum stopped buying them for me so I only managed to get the head and rib cage.

Woe is me.

Still never lost interest in monsters and creatures though which is defiantly evident in my artwork

This is the second time in a few months that ive been to visit the Natural History Museum although Rob and I originally went to see the Wildlife Photography exhibition but it was sold out. Still made for an enjoyable day and I got plenty of reference photos for future arts.

Oh and this guy tickled me.

Didnt get as many photos as I had liked because there was an emergency evacuation. I'm not sure why.

THAR SHE BLOWS

Above is a finished A3 commission for Jacolf. 'The owls revenge'. Proved to be rather good stress relief. Very much enjoyed this one, just hope my client likes it too!
Below is a personal piece done on A3 paper and then coloured digitally using Photoshop. Drawn last weekend whilst hanging out with my good friend Sarah. We hung out for about 24 hours, something which I can do with very few people. Also she is one of the few people I can draw infront of. I think it turned out rather snazzy.

Grrr....arrrg.

Snowdrops keep fallin on my head

First signs of Spring :D yay!
More from Wales because it's a very pretty place. A bit strange. But pretty nonetheless.

There was one point where we were driving through what looked like a Stephen King novel. Tempted to add in a massive Cloverfield/Godzilla monster up there in the mist.

SO MANY BIRDS

Above is a personal piece. Done on A3 paper using pens. Will eventually be painted I think :)

ANYWAY....

Lately i've been feeling restless. Cheltenham is nice, but its smaaaallll and every so often its healthy to leave it all behind and to get away. My mate Kellie was feeling the same, so naturally we said 'LETS GO TO WALES'.

As you do.

Kellie and I took a Friday off work and we went to a Red Kite sanctuary in Wales somewhere (can't remember where exactly but it was a tiny village) and witnessed about 200 of the birds flocking around a pile of meat

video
The birds were massive. It was a very strange sight.
Then we decided to head to Aberystwyth only to witness more flocks of strange birds. Im not really sure what they were. Possibly starlings? What ever they were, they did an amazing job of shitting all over Kellie's car.

It was all VERY surreal.
